August 10 BC Today

It’s go-time for Bob Bray and supporters of his initiative petition to remove “almost all advance voting options and the option to vote by mail” in provincial elections in B.C. The clock is now ticking on the 90-day window to gather supporting signatures from a minimum of 10 per cent of registered voters in each of B.C.’s 87 ridings in order for the petition to be considered by the Select Standing Committee on Legislative Initiatives.

To be eligible to sign the petition, individuals must have been registered on the Provincial Voters List as of August 9. They may only sign the petition sheet for the electoral district in which they are registered.
