Social Mavrik Federation
Why Social?

Why Mavrik?
We took “Mavrik” from the word “maverick” which means “an unorthodox or independent-minded person”. The word has a second meaning of “an unbranded calf or yearling” from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803-70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.
Its six letters connect to six words that emphasize our fundamental concepts:

Why Federation?
The Wikipedia meaning: “A federation is a union of a number of self-governing states or regions, which are joined together under a central government. The central government is not able to do a lot of things that central governments in more centralized states can. These things are done by the states (or regions) in a federalized state.”
Our meaning: “A federation is a union of a number of self-governing locals who are joined together in our member-funded society. The federation is not able to do a lot of things on its own. These things are done by couples and families in their local areas.”
